New Aspiret suction pump: Removing and replacing the fan
When the fan becomes stuck or damaged, the suction pump cannot work properly. In this film, you can learn how to remove the motor and access the fan to check it and replace it.

When the electric motor is running on a suction pump, a small copper-colored wheel rotates, pushing the diaphragm back and forth.
On the new Aspiret, the copper wheel and the fan move together because they are connected by an internal shaft running through the middle of the motor.
The fan helps keep the motor cool during operation.
Because the fan and diaphragm are connected, if the fan can’t turn, the pump won’t work. This can happen if the fan is damaged or something gets stuck inside it. So make sure there is nothing inside which is obstructing the rotation.
To remove the fan, it’s much easier to first take the entire motor out of the device. Once the motor has been removed, you can take off the fan without disassembling the pump any further.
When removing the fan, use a second tool held vertically to give yourself better leverage.
Make sure that you can rotate the rotor smoothly. If you cannot, internal bearings may have broken, in which case, the whole electric pump would need to be replaced.
To put the fan back, you should simply push it hard. It should fit back into place.
Give it a final spin using your finger to see if it is running smoothly.
Finally, secure the motor back into the lower casing of the device.
