If the BiliDx machine isn’t charging properly, you may need to clean out the charging port.

It can become clogged with fluff and debris. This might make it difficult to keep the charger in place, or the machine may charge intermittently or not fully charge.

Make sure the machine is powered off before you clean the port.

Use a small, clean object, such as twisted wire or a wooden toothpick, to gently clean inside the port.

Prise out any bits of collected debris. Be careful not to damage the delicate contacts inside.

You can also clean inside the entrance to the port with an alcohol swab.

After cleaning the charging port, if the charging connector still won’t fit firmly in place, the port may be damaged, and you might need to replace the device.

If the connection feels secure, try again to charge the device. If it doesn’t fully charge, there may be a problem with the battery or battery terminals.

We will check this in another film.
